About Jessica
Jessica Cahill received a B.A. in Communication Arts (Public Relations and Journalism) from Salisbury University in December 2012. She has interned in Washington, D.C. for a year with the Republican National Committee in the press department and with United States House of Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN). Her career aspirations include broadcast media at the national level, where she can effectively communicate with people about what is happening in the world around them.
Salisbury University selected Cahill to attend the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida. While there, Cahill worked with CNN and gained hands-on-experience. A presentation based on her educational and professional enrichment was presented to Salisbury University and is available on PowerPoint through this website.
Cahill's practicum was fulfilled through the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE). PACE strives to help teach students how to be engaged politically and through the local community. During this semester, she has assisted in their forums on upcoming referendum votes and future events.
